LOUIS & LOUISE

are a couple who decided to build their own dream house in the Algarve, which they achieved in 2016. Already being partners at Marreck Media Productions (MMP) in The Netherlands, the step to also become active with MMP in the Algarve was small.

MMP develops and produces mainly in Holland all kinds of video productions for corporations, NGO’s and individuals. In the Algarve, MMP Portugal specialized in photoshoots for real estate as well as video productions for promotional or sales purposes, mainly within real estate and the tourism industry.

What distinguishes MMP?
These days, with some technical knowledge, everyone can make a video..! Or they think they can. However, MMP believes that professionality, experience and concept creativity makes the difference. These qualities are needed to make a video or photography production successful. MMP thinks with the client, works according to budget and planning and with professional equipment and crew. Through the years MMP specialized in making productions which are strong by pure image and content.

Many of our clients in Holland work within the fields of sustainable development, nature, education or music, but we also work for many commercial businesses, because we create trustworthy and effective videos for the public.

About Louis (Loek) Marreck
Louis started MMP in 1992. At that time he already worked for Dutch television, first as a sound engineer, later as a video editor and since 1990 as a television director. Camera training and experience followed through the years. Louis his strength lies in drama, excellent editing skills and the ongoing creativity and drive to bring any project to a successful conclusion. A few years ago Louis also became a DRONE pilot, because he loves to fly;).

A few career highlights
– As a director Louis won a prestigious Dutch Children Television Award (the “Kinderkastprijs’), as well as the first price Post Montreux in Moscow, and the second price of the International Youth Festival in New York. The latter two prices were for the Dutch ‘Kinderen voor Kinderen’ TV musical shows. Louis directed four of these in the 90’s and later special shows in Germany followed.
– Louis directed several popular talk shows and special live events, for Dutch national television.
– As a video technician Louis registered theatre shows of some of Hollands greatest performers as well as large music events.
– as a production company: MMP made many corporate video’s among others for international companies like Heineken, BMW, Albert Heijn, several NGO’s and government.

About Louise (Loes)Tikink
During her Law studies Louise found out that she liked her side job in a hotel more than her studies… So, she started out her career in the Amsterdam 5 star Marriott Hotel where she ended up being responsible for corporate and private events held in the hotel (banqueting department). After 6 years she switched jobs and became responsable for  a luxury catering venue in the heart of Amsterdam, called Cristofori. After this job she worked freelance for some years as an event and catering organizer. Her ‘eye’ for set dressing and styling must have been developed in these years.
After 12 years working in the Hospitality industry, Louise made a career switch to (commercial and private) real estate in Amsterdam, as an assistent. Photography was always her hobby and here she started developing this, together with her writing skills.
After 4 years real estate she became a client manager for an artist management / legal office in Amsterdam, representing television presenters and actors, for 6 years. Meeting the clients interests was the keyword, as wel as communicating and negotiating on behalf of them. In this time she met Louis and started helping him with his video production company MMP, mostly by doing production and script writing. When the collaboration turned out to be a successful one, Louise attended the Script Writing school in Amsterdam and received photo camera training.
Due to all of these diverse experiences she is now a creative and all-round partner of MMP, with a focus on real estate photography and website content for companies.
