Al 23 jaar lang liep ik met een extreme spinnenfobie rond. Het was zo erg dat ik niet in kamers durfde te komen waar spinnen zaten. Sterker nog: ik durfde niet eens naar een foto van een spin te kijken. Toen Jaap vertelde dat hij mij door middel van hypnose van mijn fobie af kon helpen was ik een beetje skeptisch. Want hoe zou iemand mij zomaar van een fobie kunnen helpen die ik al 23 jaar heb? Skeptisch of niet, ik vind dat je de kansen moet pakken die op je pad komen. En gezien de ernst van mijn fobie zag ik dit als een hele serieuze kans die veel in potentie veel impact op mijn leven zou kunnen maken. Na één sessie met Jaap was de spinnenfobie weg. Waar ik in het begin van de sessie niet met een spin in dezelfde ruimte durfde te zitten, zat ik aan het eind van de sessie met 2 spinnen in mijn hand in de stoel.
