If you don't know the Dutch legal system before you rent from them call a legal representative and enquire about cost to get deposit from landlords.
You'll be shocked to realise the cost for legal proceedings far outweighs your deposit hence its not worth even looking into your case.
Few Dutch landlords know this and abuse this.
Maxwell invest are yet to refund my deposit 3 months after leaving the property without any damage or owing any rent prior.
I have attached a copy of letter i recently sent to them.
Rent from them at your own risk.

Here’s my experience with them:
I lived there for 10 months and paid 100 euros of the rent as an advance for utilities. However, at the end of the term, I was told that my advance payments were not enough and they did not refund my deposit. When I objected and asked for a detailed explanation, I was told that I had spent about 1500 euros on heating and electricity. In fact, my electricity meter showed that I spent about 400 euros. they calculated rest of the amount, 1,100 euros, in some obscure way. It turns out that they take all the expenses for heating the building and divide it up for each tenant, which is absurd! How do I know this number is not fictitious? Even if this is not the case, it is unfair that the tenant has to pay for other people and heating of common space. At very least, the tenant has the right to know about the existence of this kind of expected expenses from the beginning, which I have not been informed about at all.
