MOAK Pancakes West (Formerly known as MOOK) - De Clercqstraat 34

Nice atmosphere, pancakes were good, but… very bad coffee unfortunately :( a place like this should offer proper (barista made) coffee to my opinion.

Delicious American Style Pancakes! My boyfriend and I visited MOAK Pancakes after being recommended to go by a friend. We decided to go to the MOAK Pancakes West as it was closer to where we were staying, there is also another one in Amsterdam City Centre. The interior of MOAK was nice and modern. The staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We were greeted and given menus and showed to where there was seating. We then took a seat on the table of our choice and after a few minutes we were greeted by a waitress to take our order. We ordered drinks first and then we ordered our food. To drink I had the Pear Juice and my boyfriend had the Grape Juice and a Coconut. To eat I ordered the Blue Magic Pancakes (but instead of blueberries I asked for Strawberries - essentially making it a Red Magic instead of Blue Magic) and I chose to add Bacon. My boyfriend ordered The Infamous from the MOAK Favourites section of the menu. It wasn’t long before our food came out and it looked very appealing. Unfortunately my order came out without the bacon so I informed one of the waiters about this and he apologised and advised us it would take about 4 minutes for the bacon to which we said was fine. I continued to eat my pancakes until the bacon arrived and luckily I had one left to enjoy once the bacon came out. The pancakes were well made and delicious. The fruit was fresh and their own maple syrup was delightful. The staff were very apologetic and I was impressed that they went above and beyond what they needed to in order to rectify the issue considering I didn’t even complain about it. I was very grateful for the amazing service received from the staff and overall I was really happy with the food too. I would definitely go back to MOAK again! I had some of the nicest American Pancakes there that I have ever had. A big thumbs up for me as a place to visit in Amsterdam!

Every single dish our table ordered was amazing. The toppings are so generous you can ensure you get some with every bite of the two pancakes underneath. I'd happily come back to try more items. The space itself is trendy and the clientel reflects that, lots of influencer-type people editing photos at the tables near us.

Creative combinations of sweet and savoury items on the pancakes! Proportions are very good and they come at a good price too! Staff is very friendly and the interior is interesting as well! A quite big place with plants and natural life! The only thing I would prefer is a sweeter pancake dough as it felt a bit tasteless!

Really enjoyable pancake brunch spot. Good range of options for different diets and nice staff and atmosphere. I would argue prices were a little high for what we got but still enjoyable.

Great, friendly service. Had the blueberry pancakes. They are “American style” so not an especially Dutch experience but very delicious and well prepared. Side of thick bacon was a perfect complement to the sweet syrup.

Kinda sorry, but absolutely not a fan. We came because of the good reviews for vegan pancakes that we found online and maybe we got a bad batch of pancake batter, but both our options lacked in taste and the pancakes were really gooey. The pistachio ice cream pancakes were plain sweet and had a soapy after taste. The blueberry pancakes were just flat boring and had maybe 3-4 blueberries per pancake in the batter. I really wish I could give a better review, as the presentation and also the whole location is quite nice. I will definitely not come back due to the taste and also the heavily priced pancakes. By the way: stereotyping much… the „mancake“ obviously has bacon lol

Amazing place for pancakes, juices and good music. This hip-hop drenched, colourful restaurant serves not only the most delicious, mouthwatering pancakes, but the staff is super friendly, the freshly made juices taste suberb and the overall vibe is tremendous. I had the Veganlicious today (they have some really good vegan options as well), but I wanna stay lean for the upcoming holiday, but next time I’m visiting I’m going all out on the peanut butter, chocolate and ice cream!? They have two other, equally great places in town. One with a nice cocktail bar as well. Really, if you’re having pancakes in Amsterdam, go to Moak!?
