★ ★ ★ ★ ★ die Möbelabteilung war spannend, als angehende Kaufleute - "Stifte" sagte man damals wohl mit einem "Schmunzeln" - wurden wir mit eingeplant, mir sind noch Namen wie Weyers, Lambertz, Hahn, Convent, Hasenpusch, Vehreschild in Erinnerung und der damals junge Chef natürlich, XOX Biskuitfabrik und Schuhfabrik Gustav Hoffmann, Bensdorp Schokolade und Margarine Union, Warenbegleitscheine, die in Düsseldorf extra für den Berlinverkehr auf der Straße, Transitverkehr via Helmstedt, von den dafür zuständigen Ministerien beglaubigt werden mußten, es gab damals noch die gute alte "Dampflok" mit Kohle befeuert vom Bhf Kleve aus, und wir Lehrlinge fuhren dann abwechselnd mit ihr von Kleve nach Düsseldorf via Krefeld oder Duisburg, das war damals manchmal noch fast abenteuerlich, Schokolade, Kekse, Weihnachtsmänner und Möbel, wie der Name schon sagt, alles wurde bewegt, im Nah- und internat. Fernverkehr, und wir manches Mal als Beifahrer mit, weil damals noch Beifahrer angesagt waren, mein Chef gab mir im Berichtsheft eine Eins, Berufsschule besuchten wir in Emmerich, und nach 3-jähriger Lehrzeit mit bestandener IHK Prüfung schloß sich die Bundeswehrzeit an, selbstverständlich mit 18 monatl. Wehrdienst und alles vor 20 noch.. wo ist diese Zeit geblieben (?!), Mitte der 60er Jahre in Kleve-Kellen (66-69), mit meine schönste Zeit dank jugendlicher Unbekümmertheit und Ausbildung in der Firma, sowas gab,s damals noch, die Bahnstrecke Kleve - Kalkar - Xanten ist ja auch längst stillgelegt, oft über Till-Moyland genutzt, denn mein Wohnort war Kalkar, "Altkalkar" um genau zu sein, im ersten Lehrjahr gab,s 90 DM, dann 110 DM und im dritten Lj 130 DM in der Lohntüte, dem speditionellen Gewerbe bin ich mit kleinen Abstrichen 49 Jahre lang treu geblieben als Speditionskaufmann, den größten Teil nach der BW in der Luftfracht
