★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great barbershop in Amsterdam! Just moved to the city and needed a new barber, found Mokum online and gave them a shot. Got a great cut from Santos who talked me through everything I wanted and had no issues. Shop is clean and professional so you feel very welcome. Definitely recommend this spot. Not the cheapest cut but definitely worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went the mokum barbers today for the first time. Experienced utter chaos!!
People dancing and singing and music WAY too loud, can barely hear the barber.
Long waiting times even if you arrive 20 min before your appointment. The barber assigned to me didn’t even notice or say anything to me.
Will for sure not be returning, what maddens, no professionalism and the place is a mess.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been coming here for years, but something must have changed during the pandemic. I made an appointment and when I arrived today, my barber was trimming someone else’s beard. I assumed they were just finishing their prior appointment, but I ended up waiting over 45 minutes with not even acknowledgement from my barber. I had to leave without a haircut, wasting almost 2 hours of my time including travel time.
I used to love this place, but the attitude has clearly changed in the last year. Would not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all, the barber asked if I could move the appointment by one hour. After I arrived, they didn't say thank you or apologize. Secondly, I asked to keep the same hair style but just a little bit shorter. However, what they did in the end was the opposite of what I wanted. And last but not least, the other barber was disturbing (dancing, singing and touching) the barber who was cutting my hair.
I highly recommend you to go to a different barbershop.
