Stichting Nationale Dierenzorg is hét dierenpension (honden & katten) en dagopvang voor honden in Wassenaar. In 1926 zijn wij opgericht door de hofdames van Koningin Wilhelmina. Sindsdien is er veel veranderd en met onze nieuwbouw zal onze dierenopvang nog mooier worden.

Voor het brengen en halen van uw pension hond of kat
maandag t/m vrijdag van 10.00 tot 12.00 uur en van 13.30 tot 15.30 uur.
en op zaterdag van 08.30 tot 12.00 uur.
Op zon- en feestdagen zijn wij gesloten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A terrific kennel. I like that they board my dog with another dog so he doesn't get too bored or lonely. Wish they were open on Sundays too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am suprised that Yuri had such a bad experience. Our cat always had such a good time while staying at this kennel that he seemed disinclined to come home with us. The cats get to roam in a clean, safe environment with outdoor perches, if they are friendly enough, have a wide variety of food choices available and attentive caregivers. The caregivers always told me details about the behavior of my cat that made me secure that they really were paying attention to his health and happiness. The kennel is a joy to visit, with a reception area that resembles a nice, European inn. We just got a puppy who will be six months old next month, and we have no hesitation about leaving him here. We know he will get good care.

We had our Arthur there in different occasions (longer, shorter, in between) and the carers are just amazing!!!
The first time he was there we called in to check on his eating habbits (he tends to not eat if there are other, more dominant dogs around) and they really took in the feedback and let him eat alone, after all the others have "cleared the messhall" :))
They run out, they play under supervision, they socialize in a healthy animal environment...
Do not hesitate to go in your own vacation, because they have that at the animal shelter ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I left my dog there on pension for three weeks. When I got him back, he had two wounds, one on his paw and one on his back leg, where the hair was totally lost and the surrounding hair had discolored. No one explained to me what has happened, they said vaguely that they are not vet and that he might have got stressed. But the wounds had developed over at least a week and the fact that no one checked on him for such a long time convinced me to never use their service again. Besides, they keep in each room two dogs, and therefore you can't leave your dog anything that belongs to him, because according to them the roommate might try to make a fight to get it from your dog. That can easily be a reason for my dog to have got stressed, assuming that he wasn't bitten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During our stay in The Netherlands we used NDZ multiple times for our dogs pension. I was very nervous at first, but the staff treated myself and my dog kindly. I highly recommend their pension service if you have the need.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I go there for grooming my dogs. But they have shelter for old dogs and kats, hotel for dogs (I am not sure if cats have a space, too), ambulance for rescuing wildlife. They welcome, very much, money contributions for their continuing work. Visit the site, and check it out.
