★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's finally completed! Shame on all of the folks delaying this monument! Just glad we can finally visit and remember all of our murdered family members. This monument is all we have got and it matters!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Difficult to appraise this monument.
It lists in alphabetical order the Amsterdam Jewish that were killed by the nazis during the second world War; names, birth day and age at which they got killed. It is then easy to spot members belonging to one family that were killed, including children of only a few months of age.
Leaves one wondering how this massacre could occur in Europe not that long time ago.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hard to describe. Hard to endure. Just see for yourself how many lives have been taken and try to wrap your head around how this has happened. May this be a everlasting warning to each and everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Impressive. More than 102,000 victims of the Holocaust have been given their own monument in Amsterdam after more than 75 years after the end of the Second World War.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Impressive. Very simple and engaging. Walk atriums the brick walls and read the name, birthdate and age of death. It was designed by the famous architect Daniel Libeskind. The shape of the walls are Hebrew letters that spell ‘in memory of.’ I’ll bet it’s beautiful at night all lit up. There is very little information available on site, but they do have QR codes to scan to view info. I wish there was some free wifi available to view the info.
