Op aanraden van een vriend ben ik hier surf simulatie lessen gaan volgen en heb enorme progressie gemaakt in slechts 4 weken. Daan geeft alle uitleg die je nodig hebt om turns op het droge te oefenen en geeft persoonlijke tips over je houding, techniek etc.
Don't hesitate, just do it! Good atmosphere, educational and great teacher. On the recommendation of a friend I started taking surf simulation lessons here and have made tremendous progress in just 4 weeks. Daan gives all the explanation you need to practice turns on dry land and gives personal tips about your posture, technique, etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fijne inspirerende lessen met surf simulatie op een Smoothstar board op de boulevard als er geen golven zijn en met golven de zee in met een klein groepje. Goede sfeer en Daan leert je om jezelf te coachen en je controle te geven over je eigen leerproces proces. Zonder deze lessen had ik niet zo veel progressie.

Nice inspiring lessons with surf simulation on a Smoothstar board on the boulevard when there are no waves and with waves into the sea with a small group. Good atmosphere and Daan teaches you to coach yourself and give you control over your own learning process. Without these lessons I would not have made much progress.

TL;DR: Go for it, don't miss it, Daan is a very special coach who listens and tries to understand first before he starts coaching !!!
Long Version: I am much more of a strapless kitesurfer than a surfer who tries to do downwinders in order to catch waves, even if I do not do downwinders, I go for local sessions with my strapless board, catch some waves, ride upwind and do it all over again. My problem is being that I am a regular rider (left foot forward) and I snowboard with a directional board at least 4-6 weeks in winters so there is a huge bias to my riding depending on the wind direction at the Dutch coast. Whenever the wind blows from SW, top-front-side turns are failures for me.
When I presented this to Daan he took his time to study strapless kitesurfing himself and we did a private surfskating session; goofy stance only. After the session he gave me some exercises and the difference within couple of weeks is obvious; at least on the surfskate. I am just waiting for the next SW session to apply what I can do on a surfskate on my strapless kitesurf.
I will definitely continue working with Daan in the future.

Her knowledge of how the human body moves are beneficial to both your posture and physical endurance. I have progressed immensively in just the first 2 months.
