★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the barmaid needs a degree in international diplomacy. Having a sexual encounter with the Pope would be easier than getting a drink at the bar. the barmaid has an attitude akin to that of a spoilt 3 year old who hasn't got what they wanted.

The place is dirty, it smells bad, the washroom is terrible and the barmaid is just terrible. Worst service in town, with a very bad attitude. This barmaid needs to learn how to treat people with respect. I will never come back to this bar, and will definitely tell to everyone to not go to this place.
Don't waste your money with this hell on earth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good, cheap Heineken. But pretty much the only business left in Amsterdam that doesn't take cards. Once again I offered to buy drinks for my colleagues - only to have one of them pay for me because I wasn't carrying cash. Oof!

They wanted me to pay twice with card. They said that the transaction did not go trough. But I could see on my account that it did. And they said that my friend who paid in cash did not pay for his frist beer. But we confronted them. And they tried to argue. But to no use.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice bar in Amsterdam by the side of the canal. Went here for a few beers when the sum was shining and the staff couldn't be more friendly. They had goose ipa which is always a plus for me
Cant stray away from the toastie if you need a pick me up

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another excellent example of a bar in a very touristy area that still has Dutch dignity ( and friendliness )… amazingly chilled terrace tables overlooking canal, catches the afternoon sunshine… lovely waitress, very Dutch … nice Hertog Jan beertje what more you want?
