Ciekawostką jest fakt, że głównym punktem pomnika jest autentyczny silnik z rozbitego samolotu. Historic site, site of an air crash during World War II. An interesting fact is that the main point of the monument is an authentic engine from a crashed plane.

Een beetje meer onderhoud zou niet verkeerd zijn. Nice monument for fallen pilots who crashed during the second world war in the polder near the monument. A little more maintenance wouldn't go amiss.
R	Rob Eissens on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lees nu pas dat het een oorlogsmonument is. Of fietstocht langs gekomen. Wel gezien, maar dacht dat het "moderne kunst" was met een motoronderdeel in het midden. Laten we het er maar op houden dat de relatie met een oorlogsmonument door mij niet gelegd is. Only now read that it is a war memorial. Or bike ride passed by. Seen it, but thought it was "modern art" with a motorcycle part in the middle. Let's just say that the relationship with a war memorial has not been established by me.
E	Eric B. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A moving and beautiful monument to a Canadian/British bomber crew shot down by the Germans near the end of WWII. The plane crashed in the river and one of the plane’s engines was taken out of the river and incorporated in the monument’s design. I first saw it in 1976 and the people in the town (Jaarsveld) were putting fresh flowers in front of the monument daily.
