★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dit oorlogsmonument is ter nagedachtenis aan de gevallen Nederlandse soldaten die in het begin van de Tweede Wereldoorlog zijn gevallen. Deze soldaten maakten deel uit van het mobilisatiegarnizoen dat kort voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog was gelegerd in Medemblik. Opmerkelijk is dat dit monument al in 1940 was onthuld, dus nog tijdens de Duitse bezetting.
 This war memorial is in memory of the fallen Dutch soldiers who fell at the beginning of the Second World War. These soldiers were part of the mobilization garrison that was stationed in Medemblik shortly before the Second World War. It is remarkable that this monument was already unveiled in 1940, so during the German occupation.
