Het monument is geplaatst op ' t Driehoekje Onderstal/Dorpsstraat en is een natuurstenen beeld van een vrouwenfiguur met een gewonde soldaat. Het beeld is 2 meter 50 hoog, 1 meter breed en 1 meter diep. Op het monument staan de namen van een aantal gesneuvelde Canadese militairen. Het monument herinnert de inwoners van Woensdrecht aan de Canadese militairen van The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry, die in oktober 1944 zijn omgekomen bij de slag om Woensdrecht. Voor en aan weerszijde van het monument staan 2 plaquettes opgesteld waarop het navolgende beschreven staat. Op de linker plaquette staat vermeld: In memory of the gallant men of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry 2e Canadian Division on oct 16, 1944 they attacked and captured the town of Woensdrecht. Eventually this island of Walcheren and open the port of Antwerp. The RHLI hilt its onjective for six days and during intensive fighting and relentless counter attacks by battle wise German paratroopers. The price paid was 167 casualties, 21 of them fatal. The monument is placed on 't Driehoekje Onderstal / Dorpsstraat and is a natural stone statue of a female figure with a wounded soldier. The statue is 2 meters 50 high, 1 meter wide and 1 meter deep. The memorial contains the names of a number of Canadian soldiers who died. The monument reminds the residents of Woensdrecht of the Canadian soldiers of The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry, who died in October 1944 in the battle of Woensdrecht. In front of and on either side of the monument are 2 plaques on which the following is described.
