★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arguably the best fancy pie and cake shop in Maastricht. Their bread is fine, but it's their pastries and pies that make it special. The chocolate cakes and 'vlaaien' are really good, but there are one or two bakeries in Maastricht that can match. It is the cream cakes that sets them apart then, they look very fancy, there is a great variety, from light and fruity, to heavy and creamy, all the way up to champagne. Different ones every time, and I've been returning for years so definitely visit more often. Decent coffee, good breakfast and lunch. Don't forget to have a cream cake before you go though!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was for the first time in Maastricht and I wanted to try the famous Limburgse vlaai. The place is a bit outside the main city centre, but I found it on my way to Fort Sint Pieter, and I'm really happy I did. The vlaai was amazing, and they had many other delicious treats. The coffee was good, and the prices were way lower than expected for the quality they offered. Definitely worth going there!
