A very good optician who takes a lot of time for you. The difference with a chain is that you get more service here. I am very satisfied with the glasses I bought here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ik was op zoek naar nieuwe glazen voor mijn bril. Met mijn montuur was ik nog tevreden. Binnen drie kwartier had de eigenaar mijn ogen gemeten en nieuwe glazen in mijn montuur gezet. Heel erg tevreden!
I was looking for new glasses for my glasses. I was still satisfied with my frame. Within 45 minutes the owner had measured my eyes and put new glasses in my frame. Very satisfied!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Now, this was really an upsetting experience. I was just on a phone call with Paul Bas Optiek. For one, their English "is not very good" so I had to try it out in Dutch. I can do that. We had multiple backs and forths however, just to say that I do not want sunglasses but framed glasses with CR-39 *plastic* lenses, with up to 95% absorption of the *visible* light.
"Is it like... anti-reflex?"
Are you kidding me? The person on the other end had no idea what I am talking about. It looks as if they want to sell what they've got instead of what I am asking for *explicitly*. If I didn't know what I was asking for, I'd be sold sunglasses. Smiling tourist, perhaps that is their target audience. Hence, the mark.
