It's a nice old place and it used to be the headquarters of the navy. Very nice place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reuze interessant bezoek aan ramtorenschip "de Buffel". Mooie expositie over de geschiedenis van dit schip en de vooruitgang van de scheepvaart in die tijd. De expositie is voorzien van duidelijke uitleg over de toen gebruikte techniek en ook over het leven op de schepen van de marine in die tijd. De ontvangst en begeleiding op het schip is zeer gastvrij. Men is heel gemotiveerd om alles over het schip te vertellen. Leuk om te horen dat sommige vrijwilligers nazaten zijn van de vroegere bemanning van dit schip.
Het is echt een aanrader om een kijkje te nemen, zeker met kinderen. Hiervoor zijn verschillende spellen om kennis te maken met de techniek en leven uit die tijd.
Very interesting visit to the ram tower ship "de Buffel". Nice exposition about the history of this ship and the progress of shipping in that time. The exhibition is provided with clear explanations about the technology used at the time and also about life on the ships of the navy at that time. The reception and guidance on the ship is very hospitable. People are very motivated to tell everything about the ship. Nice to hear that some volunteers are descendants of the former crew of this ship.
It is highly recommended to take a look, especially with children. There are several games for this to get acquainted with the technology and life of that time.
