★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Menu hasn't changed in years and last time we were there it took ages before we got something to eat and the quality wasn't too good. And that while the restaurant was almost empty. Too bad, this was such a nice place to go to eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely family run restaurant with friendly service and great food (home cooking style veg and tasty side salads with fruit flavours). Outside seating but quaint interior has original forge from when the building was actually a smithy. Well worth coming out of the main streets to go to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every single time I ate here the last few years when visiting Arnhem, I went away more than satisfied. Same as last Thursday evening. High quality products are being used for the dishes, put together by an artful Chef. The service was excellent, like always. All my best wishes to the owners and workers at Restaurant De Smidse, that you will survive the Covid-19 crisis, that you will stay safe and healthy, and that I will be able to visit again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location with excellent service. Very nice and tasty food. Menus are available in an enourmous amount of languages (more than 12), so all visitors are well informed.
Next to a good size of the dishes, I like the shared side dishes which are healty and not that healthy versions, but can be easily reordered when empty. Have been here neither the first time, nor the last time.
