About Restaurant Gaudi's
Tapas Restaurant Gaudi's Tapas Restaurant Gaudi’s is gevestigd op de Hof, het mooiste en gezelligste plein van Amersfoort. Het dankt zijn naam aan de Spaanse kunstenaar en architect Antoni Gaudí.
In een sfeervolle Spaanse ambiance, kun je genieten van verschillende koude en warme gerechtjes. Op twee verdiepingen vind je loungebanken en romantische tafeltjes omgeven door op Gaudí-geïnspireerd mozaïekwerk. Zomers beschikt Gaudi’s over een groot zonnig terras waar je kunt genieten van onze specialiteiten.

Maarten en Lotte
Maarten(1987) en Lotte (1991) zijn de trotse eigenaren van dit prachtige restaurant. Toen Maarten in februari 2015 de kans kreeg om het restaurant over te nemen, greep hij deze met beiden handen aan. Zijn vrouw, Lotte, stapte met veel plezier en enthousiasme in de zaak (oktober 2019). Samen vormen zij een sterk horecakoppel, dat met passie en liefde hun vak uitoefent. Maarten en Lotte zijn geen onbekende in de Amersfoortste Horeca, beiden zijn zij al meer dan tien jaar actief in het vak. Samen met hun jonge team, runnen zij Restaurant Gaudi's. Een restaurant waar iedereen welkom is, om heerlijk te komen genieten van Spaanse gerechtjes met wereldse invloeden.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service is a bit slow. Don't order Grolsch here if you feel like drinking beer, it's "suspiciously" watery. Also the menu is quite confusing and they don't have a menu for drinks. A neutral 3 because I've not actually tasted the food here so no comments about that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Este no es un restaurante español. Ni el dueño lo es, ni la comida. This is not a Spanish restaurant, neither the owner is, nor the tapas. If you want a real Spanish place, this is not the choice.
Regarding the response of the owner last July when he - she wrote: ¨I'm sorry you didn't like your experience with us. We are a tapas restaurant, but our food is more than just tapas, as is stated on our website. We are a medeterean oriented restaurant, not just Spanish. Lo siento.¨
First. I dont think you want to be just a Mediterranean restaurant as you have several flags of Spain in the exterior of your restaurant (pictures attached). And what is worse, you have the one with the bull to feed the very narrow-minded image of my country. Neither you serve authentic tapas there, nor is a Mediterranean restaurant. Please, honor the name given to your place, Gaudi, and change either the flag, the cook, or the owners. Dankjewel!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the best Spanish restaurant outside Spain I've ever visited.
The place itself is nice and the service is ok. But what is shocking is the quality of the food. Being Spanish myself I discovered new flavours here in some traditional "tapas".
Some special recommendation would be: patatas bravas, beef steak, chicken on lemon sauce, croquettes...even Rioja wine here is amazing. Yes, mainly everything.
