De oer-Hollandse gezelligheid betekent in landen rond de Middellandse Zee ‘samen zijn’. De tijd nemen voor elkaar rond een tafel vol kleine gerechtjes en genieten van een glas wijn. Ieder besteld gemiddeld 3 á 4 gerechtjes per persoon waarna alles wat op tafel staat gezellig samen wordt gedeeld.
Onze chefkok struint de markt af op zoek naar seizoensproducten en combineert graag streekproducten met mediterrane kruiden. Bij Jottum wordt bij voorkeur gekookt met biologische, fairtrade en dagverse producten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jottum is a very good tapas restaurant, I bought the 3-course menu for take away here during the lockdown, I highly recommended it. For starter and main course you have 3 choices and the dessert is cheesecake of white chocolate with red fruits.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On the slightly quieter Eerste Anjeliwesdwarsstraat (parallel to the other one that connects westerstraat and has dozens of restaurants and bars) and one of the better tapas restaurants in the jordaan. On a wednesday evening was quiet at 6, got busier but not full by 8, pretty decent value tapas, friendly service and excellent dessert and liquer coffee (In photo)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got into this by a local supermarket action for which we got two 4 course menus for the price of 1. The starter is the attached picture. The food itself was well made and tasted super good. Also the service was good and they knew what they were talking about. Expect to spend 20(small) - 40(if you are a big eater) including drinks. All in all this would be a very recommendable place to go eat with a group or with 2 people!
