★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Funny place, really traditional German, not Dutch at all. You go there for the location on the Old Canal, the 'German Beer Tables', not for the fine food and special cuisine at all. It fat, greasy, calotiebombing, but tasty. And really super good beer!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cool German restaurant! It’s located in an old cellar underneath the street, once used to store/trade goods transported through the channel. Service is friendly, the food is good! Don’t expect to much, really go for the atmosphere! Perfect for groups that want to go for reasonably priced food and beer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food - good quality German food like it supposed to be but than closer to home in Utrecht!
Drinks - they have mass, meaning 1 liter glasses per person. Awesome!
Atmosphere - nice decoration feels like you are in Germany indeed, only the music can be more adapted to German style.
Service - good and quick service
Location - located in the city center of Utrecht.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice restaurant with very good food. I also liked the coffee here. I love their "schnitzel". I also like the atmosphere. And people say the pork knuckle dish is very tasty. I didn't like the fact that it closes very early (9 p.m). I also love their toilet..it's pretty cool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited this place several times. We enjoyed every visit. Nice ambiance, friendly staff. Especially Schnitzel is our fav dish in this restaurant.
Here one disadvantage, if you are close to any table that makes too much noise, than it is like a torture because of the acoustic of the place. It is impossible to hear the person next to you.
Strongly suggested restaurant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food at the heart of Utrecht. We were looking for a place to dine in next to the Oudgracht and this was one of the places which sounded interesting. The menu was unique compared to other restaurants in the area. Will definitely visit again.
