Great view, ok menu, entrance and receptiin are a bit awkward

The place looked rather fancy, the staff was very nice and welcoming. I reserved a table online mentioning my gluten allergy, and as they welcomed us they said they made sure they can attend to it. I ordered tomato soup with gluten free bread as a starter. At some point the waitress came to us and said they ran out of gluten free bread earlier that afternoon (we were there at 7pm) and asked me what I see as an alternative for gluten free bread, as she did not know what to give me. Instead of an actual hearty thick luscious puree-y tomato sound I ended up having a small - around 200 ml maybe - bowl of pure tomato-y water with huge drops of olive oil on the surface (without anything sub or extra in place of the missing gluten free bread, no small salad or another starter, nothing). The main course was a roasted ball pepper stuffed with chunks of roasted aubergine (I am a vegetarian), which was also extremely dissatisfying - no grains, no cheese/sauce/anything creamy and caloric to fill me up, just junks of vegetables. With the two of us, we shared a cheese platter for dessert, and it was just as disappointing, we received slices of something that tasted like Oude Amsterdam, Brie that you can get at Albert Heijn for a euro and some blue cheese, no date bread/crackers to go with it. My date also ordered a glass of cognac which, according to him, was very sharp and tasted really cheap. For all this “goodness” and just one glass of wine, one glass of cognac and a bottle of still water we paid almost 80 euro. We left very disappointed and hungry, never coming back again.

The food is really not good. If you order a 2 person dish, they only serve vegetables and french fries for 1 person. The chickenskewer is pretty much tasteless and so were the vegetables. The service was friendly and the view is nice too. But to eat some good food you really need to go somewhere else. I think this was my quickest restaurantvisit ever.

The nice thing about this place is, is that it's really nice for a first date. They have these couches where you can sit next to each other with these amazing view. They also have other seats where you can sit with your family or friends as well. Furthermore the staff is very nice and professional. The prices are like every other place. In general, a very nice place to go if you want to have a nice and relaxed time.

Nice view if you have a window table. Located on the 12th floor. After waiting for a menu and drinks for 20 minutes, I intervened and asked for service. Unheard of! The staff didn’t make eye contact at all. Bad communication. The young lady serving the desserts didn’t know which was which, very unprofessional. The food was nice though. Not nice enough to go there again. The second star is for how nice the food was. Service was very bad though.

Food was average. The “chef choice” come with an incredible dry chicken and the beef was over cooked…average potatoes and there was a mistake in the bill at the end. They also took a lot of time to serve. Ambient is really nice and you can have a great view from Leiden

The young man that greeted us was dressed badly in dirty trousers. I was asked if I wanted a drink before I had my coat off. Service was prompt enough but food was not good. You would think with such a limited menu that they would serve tasty food, this was not the case. The standard of the food is less than I would serve up midweek after a days work. My fish was nothing like the description on the menu. The serving staff are untrained and don’t know how to do their job properly. The restaurant decor is great and the location but it needs a new chef and trained staff. Go to a good snack bar instead of this restaurant. What a pity.
