Our motto is 'Explore your worlds'.

Rivers International School Arnhem is a school where students from different cultures form a community. They are challenged academically as well as socially, so they leave us ready for the wider world. We provide a stimulating, caring and safe learning environment for ages 2,5 to 18. We encourage, support and inspire our pupils to explore the worlds of their school, classroom, and community.

Integrity 

I am an individual: where I am from, what my talents are, and who I want to become. I want to show you what I have learned and what I can do. Teach me how to ask questions, rather than giving me the answers.

I am a communicator, open-minded and caring.  I believe in myself and I believe in you. I will take time to listen to you and respect your point of view.  We can learn a lot from each other.  We won’t always agree, but we don’t have to, as long as we stay open-minded and connected. 

Creativity

I am a caring and principled world citizen with an appetite for new challenges. Feed my curiosity, tap into my creativity and let me dream. Give me a safe environment, and I will be an inquirer and a risk-taker. Challenge me to expand my limits. Help me to reach my potential, socially and academically.  I need knowledge, empathy and ambition, both now and in the future. Complex issues require innovative solutions, from myself and others.

Community

Together, we form a community.  This bond will aid us in a world where intercultural understanding offers solutions to global issues. I feel responsibility for my surroundings and environment, globally and locally. I see present and future issues, not as problems but as opportunities. I will learn how to investigate, develop skills, and combine specialist knowledge from a variety of subject areas.  As independent and life-long learners, we can all serve society, together.
