★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een mooi speeltuintje op een hele arparte locatie. Je zou het bijna niet verwachten dat er een roze olifant bestaat in de wereld van Tolkien. Maar tog staat deze olifant met trots in het midde van deze prachtige wijk. Het oplifantje is een klimrek in een zandbak waar kinderen op deze olifant kan zitten en in het zand kunnen vroetten.
 A nice playground in a very arparte location. You would hardly expect that there is a pink elephant in Tolkien's world. Yet this elephant stands proudly in the middle of this beautiful neighborhood. The little elephant is a climbing frame in a sandbox where children can sit on this elephant and eat in the sand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De Roze Olifant is een bijzondere verschijning in de Tolkien wijk van Geldrop. Waar we een ork, een tovenaar, een elf of misschien wel een Hobbit zouden verwachten staat hier de Olifant. Omgeven door een cirkel zand van ongeveer 5 meter is dit een klim speeltoestel. Helaas zijn in de loop van de tijd wat greepjes uit het beton afgebroken. Maar nog steeds zitten of hangen hier bijna dagelijks kinderen aan. Een ideaal speeltoestel.
The Pink Elephant is a special sight in the Tolkien district of Geldrop. Where we would expect an orc, a wizard, an elf or perhaps a Hobbit, here is the Elephant. Surrounded by a circle of sand of about 5 meters, this is a climbing playground. Unfortunately, in the course of time, some handles have broken off from the concrete. But children are still sitting or hanging on this almost every day. An ideal playground equipment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leuk klimtoestel met daaromheen wat heuvels. Hier wordt veel overheen gerend en gefietst. De olifant is avontuurlijk omdat deze vrij hoog is om te beklimmen.
Het fietspad ligt dichtbij de speelplek en deze wordt veel gebruikt. Vooral met de elektrische fiets kan het nog wel eens hard gaan, let dus goed op je kind.
Mijn kind vind het geweldig om de heuvels zelf te beklimmen en eraf te rennen. Hier besteed ik dan ook veel tijd en geniet van het uitzicht.
Nice climbing frame with some hills around it. There is a lot of running and cycling over this. The elephant is adventurous because it is quite high to climb.
The cycle path is close to the playground and it is widely used. Especially with the electric bicycle it can sometimes go fast, so pay close attention to your child.
My child loves to climb and run down the hills on their own. I spend a lot of time here and enjoy the view.
