Simple Bike Store has started it's roots in 2011 when company was founded in Latvia and relocated to The Netherlands/Rotterdam in 2015. It's ran by enthusiasts and professionals in urban cycling field and has grown from a small retail store to distributor and dealer for well known brands that are aiming for quality and trust. Our company is offering wide and special range of products like accessories, parts and in our opinion best bike brands in the World. We have been exploring the world and traveled a lot to see what cycling is about and where we can meet our demand - and here we are!
Our retail store in Netherlands is something we came up by living in Rotterdam as we faced need for bike shop with heart and this special feeling that you are willing to return for bike repairs, new accessories or maybe just for coffee or refreshing cold drink in hot summer day. We are all living life where cycling is taking big part of our lives with all the environmental issues and we are more than happy to offer people products they can't get in other stores and support green thinking. For that reason we are also participating in Nationale Fietsplan and other projects.
Our concept is bikes and coffee what makes Simple Bike Store special with it's homelike atmosphere where you can enjoy Cima Coppi coffee from IL MAGISTRALE Espresso Roasters. If you are not coffee person you can refresh your soul with one of Fritz Kola different tastes or just read some cycling literature. It is definitely a place where to meet nice people and hang out any time as our opening hours are also not typical bike shop hours.

β β β β β Really deplorable quality of service. We still have trouble getting money back for poor service. Before we ordered a bike, custom service admitted they have item in stock, after we made a payment they announced that they gonna get it in the future. Bad experience, don't reccomend.

β β β β β Quick and friendly service. I like, that they seem to have everything, even though there store is rather small and compact and that they send bills via mail. They mounted my porter in a matter of minutes, when I asked whether that's possible.
But.. ever since I bought my bike at their store (now about 6 months ago) nearly every part has been broken and swapped out. This is understandable for a +2k bike, but not for a ~1k bike (which the majority of us will buy).

β β β β β I ordered two bikes in the end of Feb 2021. It was a pre-order to be shipped by the end of Mar. However, the time had come and nothing happened. I contacted support and was told that there's a delay. Well, if something went wrong it's support who're supposed to contact customers and inform them about any changes.
I was contacting them once a week for 1,5 months since then. Responses were always rather ambiguous and obscure β no direct answers to direct questions. At some point communication became really inadequate β like, 'stop writing us, we can't say anything, you just sit and wait for whatever it will take'.
In the mid-Apr I received an SMS from FedEx that they have a package for me that is going to be delivered in three days. That was another surprise because I paid for more expensive and much more reliable (from my experience) DHL delivery. The shop shipped my order with FedEx instead of DHL without even asking me. They said, for speed, but, well, it took more than two weeks instead of three days in the end. Not to mention FedEx's useless tracking system and total lack of information about what's going on with delivery.
As the icing on the cake, the shop is located in Netherlands, but the order was shipped from the UK and thus, I needed to pay VAT in order to receive my package. However, Simple Bike were fair and refunded this money to me within 10 days or so.
Maybe Simple Bike is really good if you just came by their local store, have a small talk with them and buy something from their stock. However, the online shopping experience with them was literally the worst in my entire life.
As for goods, the bikes are really good! It was a couple of State Bycicle Co.'s budgetary single speeds, and they're cost their money and more. A couple of minor defects here and there, but you don't expect a 1500 euros quality from 400 euros bikes, do you? And they're really beautiful too!

The quick answers and knowledge of the staff really made me feel safe about buying a bike online (and abroad). And it turn out great! I highly recommend buying from this store, they have a bike for everyone.

Within a day of reaching out to simple bike store via E-mail I received an answer within minutes and I was able to pick up a bike that was recommended to me by the staff the same day. all assembled and ready to go. Service couldn't have been better.
