En wat leuk dat er nu een bed and breakfast inzit en een ( via ladders) te bereiken uitzichtpunt. De moeite waard om te bezoeken. What a beautiful church the Dedgum has become after a year of renovation. And how nice that there is now a bed and breakfast in it and a viewpoint (accessible via ladders). Worth to visit.

Het was niet eens zó heel oud (eind 19e eeuw), en bovendien de opvolger van de middeleeuwse kerk die destijds in zo'n slechte staat was dat opknappen niet meer kon. In 2018 is er een (hele) grote restauratie geweest, zowat het hele gebouw is 'opnieuw gedaan', waardoor het er nu weer een tijd mee kan. Het is nu ook het dorpscentrum. heeft een B&B in de toren (!) plus mogelijkheid om de toren met uitzichtpunt te bezoeken (ook voor een volgende keer). Nu weer het stralend middelpunt op de terp midden in het dorp! For years, the church building had to deal with major overdue maintenance. It was not even very old (late 19th century), and moreover the successor of the medieval church that was in such a bad state at the time that it was no longer possible to renovate. In 2018 there has been a (very) large restoration, almost the entire building has been 'redone', so that it can now be used for a while. It is now also the village center. has a B&B in the tower (!) plus possibility to visit the tower with viewpoint (also for a next time). Now the radiant center on the mound in the middle of the village!
