β β β β β Afgelopen zaterdag WEER een medewerker met lange nagels. Daar had ik vorige maand al een opmerking over gemaakt. De klacht zou doorgegeven worden. Niet dus. En mw. troel pakte nota bene mijn vlees zonder tang. Ik was helemaal verbouwereerd. Vroeger stond Waaijer bekend voor kwaliteit en hygiΓ«ne. Blijkbaar is men met dat laatste gestopt. Nooit meer vlees van Waaijer zolang er "dames" staan met zulke klauwen. Jammer, dan maar naar de Reinkenstraat.
Last Saturday WEATHER an employee with long nails. I had already commented on that last month. The complaint would be passed on. Not so. And mrs. Snork grabbed my meat without tongs. I was completely stunned. Waaijer used to be known for quality and hygiene. Apparently the latter has stopped. No more meat from Waaijer as long as there are "ladies" with such claws. Too bad, then to the Reinkenstraat.

β β β β β Uitstekende slager. Vooral de ham en de biefstukken zijn uit de kunst. En natuurlijk Oma's gehaktballen.
Excellent butcher. Especially the ham and the steaks are from the art. And of course Grandma's meatballs.

β β β β β Met zeer grote regelmaat haal ik, sinds vele jaren, hier mijn vlees en vleeswaren aangezien ik als oud professional vlees exporteur kennis van zaken heb. Daarnaast prettige vlotte bediening & zeer goede kwaliteits producten.
I have been getting my meat and meat products here on a very regular basis, since I am an old professional meat exporter. In addition, pleasant smooth operation & very good quality products.

β β β β β I grew up in Australia but now living in The Netherlands, part of my cultural background is to barbecue meat (smoking meat, charcoal grilled, gas etc). I just love barbecuing and Aussies pride themselves on the quality of the meat our country produces.
It is actually a little hard to find butchers with the same quality of meat as found in Aust, there are some around but they are few and far between. I have tried dozens of places.
Slagerij Waaijer is one of the very few places that does it right, in all of The Hague this is my most preferred butcher to go to and I would say the quality of their meat easily matches what I am used to from back home.
I really wish I could give them six stars. Several times a month I visit them to get my meat stockpiles for my weekend backyard barbecue cook ups.
I recommend ordering by phone then going and picking up your shopping, they get really busy, especially on the weekends so expect a wait.

β β β β β Quality meat and good service. One of the better butchers in The Hague! If you can't find what your looking for behind the glass just ask one of the girls. The butcher keeps some more "exotic" cuts in the back, or can order them for you if not available.
