Het plezier van Slow Bal begint al bij je eerste danspassen. Slow Bal is een speelse en elegante dans die je dicht tegen elkaar aan danst. Het gaat om volgen en leiden, connectie maken met je partner en improviseren op de muziek. Samen met een danspartner maak je er een feestje van op de dansvloer.

As Slowbal is such a lovely dance, it's superb that there's finally a possibility to have regular classes! By rotating regularly you learn to dance with everyone, which is a good preparation for the social-dances. With attention to both moves and technique there's something for everyone in the classes, Deirdre and Luciën are approachable and nice!

Deirdre and Luciën are great teachers, who share their passion for slow swing dancing and teach in a professional manner while always creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, they foster a great sense of community among their students. Having followed various swing dance classes in the past, slow bal classes taught by Slowfeet Studio are by far my favorite ones!

I really like Slow Feet because of its informal, welcoming and supportive athmosphere in teaching how to move the first steps in slow bal. Most of the school charme is thanks to the strong passion of Deirdre for slow bal. And plus, the music is great! At the school, I follow the beginners course on slow bal and I am participating to other activities (like workshops) organised by the school during weekends. After a dance class at Slow feet I really feel energised and I look forward to the next session. In sum: totally recommended!

Of course it can be romantic and nostalgic, but also dramatic and intense. That makes it versatile to dance on. Being so close to your partner you really need to connect to make it work. I have never done something quite like it. There is a loose and playful atmosphere in class, and like swing dance practice you change partner every few minutes. That means it’s very social and you don’t easily get stuck. Deirdre and Joost are very helpful and enthusiastic, and for the way they carried their school through these tricky times, I have great respect.
