Nothing special about the place, but the view from the bridge still is very nice ^^

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the must see and experience bridges of Amsterdam! It has amazing view, it is the most filmed bridge and Claude Monet has made his art work of the Zuiderkerk from this bridge. Monet has made series of Amsterdam paintings. Without of a doubt this bridge is a tourist attraction. More recently, the desire of couples among tourists is to place so-called love clasps on the bridge bridges. However, the construction of the bridge is not resistant to the heavy metal that will be attached to the bridge; the locks are therefore regularly stripped of the locks. So be aware, do not place a love lock on this bridge if you wish to have a long lasting relation ;-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best photo ops in Amsterdam! It’s used on the cover of books! Not many people go here but it’s one of my favorite canals to take photos of! People have started to add locks on the bridge but I think the canal itself with the church in the middle is perfect in itself :) cute little stores nearby too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Staalmeestersbrug (bridge 227) is a drawbridge in Amsterdam-Centre. Besides bridge 226, it is the only bridge over the canal. The bridge, itself a municipal monument since 1995, is surrounded by municipal and national monuments, but there is also relatively new construction here. The bridge is a tourist attraction, but not always for the classic bridge itself. It is a bridge across Groenburgwal with an iconic view towards Zuiderkerkstoren. Groenburgwal connects Raamgracht with Amstel. On the painting 'Canal in Amsterdam' (1874), Claude Monet painted both the Staalmeestersbrug and the Zuiderkerkstoren.
