Naar rechts kijk je naar de Domtoren en ook loopt daar de Oudegracht langs de Vismarkt.
De Vismarkt is een plek waar al jaren geen vis meer wordt verkocht maar veel leuke winkeltjes en horeca met gezellige terrassen.
De smalle straat recht op de foto is de Choorstraat, een echte winkelstraat. Een geweldige plek om van hieruit de stad te gaan verkennen!
Stadhuisbrug, a beautiful place in the heart of the city center.
To the right you look at the Dom Tower and the Oudegracht also runs along the Vismarkt.
The Fish Market is a place where fish has not been sold for years, but many nice shops and restaurants with cozy terraces.
The narrow street right on the photo is Choorstraat, a real shopping street. A great place to explore the city from here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tijdens de opendag vanwege de opening van het verbouwde stadhuis hebben we de gelegenheid te baat genomen er eens een kijkje te nemen. Het gebouw is - al zie je het er niet aan de buitenkant vanaf - grondig verbouwd en is zoveel mogelijk (dus met in achtneming van de monumentenwet) aan de eisen van deze tijd - m.n. ook wat betreft het duurzaamheidsaspect - aangepast. De raadszaal ziet er prachtig uit. Imponerend is de enorme houtenbalkenconstructie boven je hoofd. Tot in de raadszaal is het gebouw rolstoeltoegankelijk.
During the open day due to the opening of the renovated town hall, we took the opportunity to take a look there. The building has been - although you cannot see it from the outside - thoroughly renovated and has been adapted as much as possible (that is, with due observance of the monument law) to the requirements of this time - in particular with regard to the sustainability aspect. The council looks beautiful. The huge wooden beam construction above your head is impressive. The building is wheelchair accessible as far as the council chamber.
