Ondanks de kou die op komst was gingen we van start met een prive rondleiding Op verzoek van ons zijn we overeengekomen een prive rondleiding te doen tegen een hoger tarief aangezien de groepen doorgaans groter zijn. De communicatie hierover verliep prima: ze was meteen open en duidelijk over haar mogelijkheden en tarieven tijdens het eerste contact. Iris is een opgewekte en vriendelijke stadsgids die veel historische verhalen weet te vertellen over allerlei bijzondere plekjes in de stad. Ze gebruikt een map met platen om haar verhalen te verduidelijken. Iris is prettig in omgang en zorgt voor interactie door niet alleen te vertellen maar ook vragen te stellen en te beantwoorden. Dank Iris voor je superleuke rondleiding! We enjoyed! On February 6, my girlfriend and I made a very nice walk through the courtyard with Iris. Despite the cold that was on the way, we started with a private tour. At our request, we agreed to do a private tour at a higher rate as the groups are usually larger. Wat leuk om allerlei Jugendstilpandjes te zien waar ik al jaren langs liep zonder dat ze me waren opgevallen. Weer eens wat anders dan een stadswandeling langs de gebruikelijke hoogtepunten. En Iris heeft een prettige ontspannen manier van je door de stad voeren. Ze is duidelijk goed thuis in de stad. En in de finesses van Jugendstil, art nouveau en art deco. Een aanrader! Super fun Art Nouveau walk led by Iris. How nice to see all kinds of Art Nouveau buildings that I had walked past for years without noticing them. Something different than a city walk along the usual highlights. And Iris has a nice relaxed way of taking you through the city. She is clearly well versed in the city. And in the finer points of Jugendstil, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Recommended!

Niet alleen wat je allemaal te zien en te horen krijgt, maar vooral ook de enthousiaste manier waarop Iris vertelt. Ze weet iedere keer zoveel te vertellen, heeft zoveel kennis. Echt een aanrader om juist met haar de stad te verkennen. Ook al dacht je Utrecht al wel te kennen, omdat je er bent opgegroeid, want dat blijkt dan niet helemaal zo te zijn. In het najaar komt er ook een boek van haar uit ‘Heim-weetjes’. Dan weet je echt alles van Utreg.
