Das Wohnheim (Hoppches Konvikt)
schräg gegenüber in der Goebelstraße
kam auch weg und musste einer Eigenheimsiedlung weichen.
Dort war ein maßgeblicher Teil meiner Kindheit bzw. Jugend.
Gern, so gern, erinnere ich mich zurück.

Everything has changed so much.
(and not necessarily for the better)
The dormitory (Hoppches Konvikt)
diagonally opposite in Goebelstrasse
also got away and had to give way to a residential estate.
There was a significant part of my childhood and youth.
I like to think back to you so much.
