β β β β β A historical and quiet station that houses a small restaurant. A good starting point to discover the nature and cultural hotspots that Valkenburg a/d Geul has to offer.

β β β β β Beautiful castlelike station and very characteristic to Valkenburg. The station has a small kiosk/restaurant but in general it is a small stop. The city itself has lots to offer.

β β β β β Most beautiful train station and also the oldest in the Netherlands. It's been a matter of pride to keep the architecture as it was build, making it a landmark today as far as train stations go.
They have been wise to allow local businesses to use the interior of the buildings, like the small museum and restaurant, which has helped greatly with upkeep of the interior. During a long period in the 1980's up till it got exploited by companies other than the Dutch Railway company, it was empty and just used as a waiting area, but with minimal upkeep, so it was dirty, cold and gloomy. How different it is today !
