Over het Wilhelminakanaal nabij de Oirschot is een fiets+voetbrug geconstrueerd, een vakwerkbrug met stalen verticalen en houten diagonalen, onder- en bovenrand. De brug loopt diagonaal over het kanaal met een zichtlijn op de Sint Petrusbasiliek. De aanbruggen zijn van staal en lopen voor de fietsers evenwijdig aan het kanaal.
Met de naam van de fietsbrug herdenkt Oirschot de twee militairen Rinus Stönner en Willem Meijwaard. Zij vochten in 1944 met de Prinses Irene Brigade tegen de Duitse troepen in deze regio en lieten daarbij het leven.

A bicycle + foot bridge has been constructed across the Wilhelmina Canal near the Oirschot, a half-timbered bridge with steel verticals and wooden diagonals, bottom and top edge. The bridge runs diagonally across the canal with a line of sight on St. Peter's Basilica. The ramps are made of steel and run parallel to the canal for cyclists.
With the name of the bicycle bridge, Oirschot commemorates the two soldiers Rinus Stönner and Willem Meijwaard. In 1944 they fought with the Princess Irene Brigade against the German troops in this region and lost their lives in the process.
