★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of many excellent and fresh haring stalls. I like this one since its right on the main bikepath from central along the nord bank................. In the summer the sun sets past 10pm and rises quite early. I love the location and have been going here for ages. Pickles are nice and crunchy no matter the time of day

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just had to try it - Holland is the best place to try Herring and I saw this spot as being pretty good with handling their fish. Objectively, the sandwich is decent and the fish isn't overpowering. But it is cured and so if you don't like continuously having the taste of fish in your mouth then it'll be more of a two-nibble experience like it was for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must try when in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Is it raw, pickled or smoke herring? Doesn’t taste salty, sour or smoky flavor. It just simply tasted rich with lots of umami in every bite. Highly recommended.

3.50€ for my cured herring every time I'm here.
This time I added the 7.50€ combo: smoked salmon and eel plus cooked shrimps.
All delish.
