Hallo! Dit de website van de Vereniging van Studerenden te Leiden Catena.
V.S.L. Catena is al sinds 1952 één van de grootste gezelligheidsverenigingen die Leiden kent. Catena kent geen aanwezigheidsplichten, geen corvee en geen werkweken. Je ontgroent jezelf dus maar ?
De vereniging leeft door de participatie van onze leden aan verschillende projectgroepen, genootschappen en commissies die onze vereniging rijk is. Op Catena kun je jezelf ontplooien op het gebied dat jij interessant vindt. Zo kun je leren koken voor grote groepen, cocktails leren maken, je aansluiten bij ons boulder-genootschap of bakgroepje, en nog veel meer!
Als je onze leden naar de soos zou vragen, zou al snel de vergelijking gemaakt worden met een tweede woonkamer. Ons doel is om onze leden zich thuis te laten voelen; bijvoorbeeld door onze comfortabele banken, pooltafel, filmzaal en cocktailbar. Daarnaast hebben we een ruim assortiment aan speciaalbier, thee, fris, whisky’s en sterk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a large place for parties and a diverse place for hobbies. The members are all quite laid back and that ambiance gives you space to try out various things, from cooking for large groups to learning how to bartend.
Also, cheap drinks and during parties awesomely cheap and delicious cocktails! The beer list is huge, and they also offer more than 50 cocktails during parties!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An awesome student Union, unlike other student unions. Everyone is welcome, there are no (unwritten) rules you should adhere to as in other student unions. If you want to join a fun group you simply can, you don't have to look or act a certain way, you don't have to show up every week when you don't have time. And they host the best theme parties.
