€23 for deluxe omakase nigiri sushi set and €19.40 for a standard.
The rice is cooked correctly and seasoned well.
The fish is all good quality and fresh.
And the nigiri is formed well and is the traditional japanese size.
Service was very friendly and efficient.
We enjoyed it so much we wanted to tip the waitress but she turned us down! saying traditional Japanese restaurants don't accept tips.
This is indeed true but I was very surprised by this as we are not in Japan.
Sushi Fanatics is excellent value for money.
You be hard pressed to find better quality sushi in Amsterdam and it be even harder at this price point!
They have just moved into their new premises and they are still building the sushi bar in the back.
Caveat: Similar to what I have said in my review for Ken sushi.
Sushi Fanatics is one of the best sushi places I have tried in the Netherlands.
But if you have eaten at a top sushi restaurant in Japan, New York or London then you will say this is probably only slightly above average.
But remember you are not paying top restauant prices.
Sushi Fanatics are definitely punching well above their price bracket.
A suggestion for the owner.
Serve the wasabi on the sushi plate when dining in.
Giving the customer single use wasabi packets is fine for takeaway but it looks kinda wrong for in restaurant dining.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Words cannot express my joy at finding this gem. Their sushi and desserts are crazy good!
They have a small but really good selection of sake as well. I recommend their yuzu salt sake if it's not sold out...!
Be aware it's more like a take away/quick grab, so don't expect great table service.
But I am here for quality so I don't mind!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sushi Fanatics is here, but also Taigu which is specialized in matcha desserts. Today I got the limited matcha crepe cake and also the matcha terrine. Wow, both of the desserts were very delicious. You can really taste the quality of the ceremonial grade matcha. Very rich and creamy. The desserts are a bit pricey but it is definitely worth because of the use of highest grade matcha. The crepe cake was good, but the crepes were a bit dry (could be because it was too chilled). Must try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely one of the best place to eat sushi in Europe. It tastes much better than expected for the price. Compared to the sushi in Japan, the quality is something in the middle of the cheapest ones (supermarkets or kaiten-sushi at 100JPY) and mid-class ones. Considering the fact that most of the sushi in Europe including more expensive ones are not as good as the cheapest ones in Japan (at least for me), their quality, price, and coziness make me feel worth visiting once a week. It might not be perfect for those who want some luxury experience, though.

Everything about this place was amazing! Delicious sushi, super fresh, amazing quality
Can’t recommend this place enough, will definitely come back and try other dishes
(Just be aware you might need to seat on a Japanese style dining table, so if you are not very flexible might be worth checking that beforehand)
