De grote stoel is een symbool van de succesvolle meubelindustrie en als eerbewijs aan het vakmanschap van de ambachtslieden werd door de firma Meeuwis in 1958 deze kolossale stoel gemaakt die nog steeds een toeristische trekpleister van Oirschot vormt.
Nice place for a tourist photo, for both children and adults.
The large chair is a symbol of the successful furniture industry and as a tribute to the craftsmanship of the craftsmen, the Meeuwis company made this colossal chair in 1958, which is still a tourist attraction in Oirschot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oirschot. Brons groen eikenhout. Gastvrij Brabant. Bakske koffie? Pak een stoel en kom erbij. Deze stoel pak je niet zo maar. Kinderen vinden hem geweldig. Volwassen ook als niemand kijkt. Ervoor is dan toch niet zo leuk als erop. Dus, hup, klimmen. Hoeveel achterwerken er op deze stoel hebben gezeten ? Geen idee, maar dat z'n Oirschotse houten stoel goed zit, staat als een eikenhouten paal boven water. Kom ook eens naar Oirschot en klim op de Stoel.
Oirschot. Bronze green oak. Hospitable Brabant. Baked coffee? Grab a chair and join us. You don't just grab this chair. Children love him. Mature even when nobody is watching. It is not as nice as it is for it. So, hup, climb. How many buttocks have been on this seat? No idea, but that his Oirsch Scottish wooden chair is in good shape, is clear as an oak pole. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great photo opportunity. Can have some fun time with kids. Other than that there’s nothing much. It’s right in the Oirschot centrum. A bit tricky to climb up and get on the chair. If you are 5.5 or taller,you’ll make it without help.
Blue line parking(free one hour parking) just next to the big chair.
