De voormalige “Directeurswoning” van de Zuidergasfabriek is in 2013 gerestaureerd en in 2014 opengesteld voor publiek, in een nieuw jasje: culinair en artistiek café tHuis aan de Amstel. Authentiek, creatief, lokaal, puur, toegankelijk en vooral: gewoon lekker eten en drinken. Voor ieder moment van de dag en avond biedt tHuis aan de Amstel een relaxte huiselijke setting.
Op alle werkdagen, avonden en in het weekend bieden wij onze faciliteiten aan voor kunst, zakelijke meetings, partijen, workshops en meer. Er is Wifi door het hele pand aanwezig, dus ook om te werken ben je welkom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great riverfront location walking distance from the new QO hotel. The house is an official monument. Gorgeous sundowner location on the Amstel river. Simple menu with just three well chosen mains, great! Food and drink very good but took a long time to come. Fortunately the sunset was gorgeous in the garden. Service attentive and friendly. Prices moderate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The THuis is one of my favorite places in Amsterdam for lunch. I go there at least once a month since I order always the same. My order is soup of the day, scrambled eggs with salmon and dark bread. To drink I go with their Spanish red wine option. To finish in glory I have their yummy homemade desert cheesecake. Go their and make your choices. But remember in doubt follow my lead. They are getting popular and busier by the month, so I would recommend you to go their outside the rash hours, especially in sunny days. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing view of the amstel, especially on a nice sunny day! The house itself is old fashioned with many separate meeting rooms to hold events. There is catering on site as well as a small cafe on ground floor. The staff was very helpful and came in several times during the day to check up on us. Really can't find anything to complain about!
