Toscanini opende in 1985 de deuren in de Goudsbloemstraat in de gezellige volksbuurt de Jordaan. Het restaurant verhuisde in 1990 naar de Lindengracht waar het nog altijd is gevestigd.

Toscanini is een officiële trouwlocatie. Er kan dus bij ons getrouwd worden!
Dit zijn de mogelijkheden:
- Trouwceremonie met aansluitend een uitgebreide lunch. Dit kan op maandag tot en met donderdag.
- Trouwceremonie met aansluitend receptie, diner, feest in de avond kan alleen op maandag, omdat dat de enige dag in de week is dat we gesloten zijn.
Op vrijdag, zaterdag en zondag kan het helaas niet, we hebben dan een drukbezochte lunch.
Alleen een lunch (zonder ceremonie) is mogelijk van maandag tot en met donderdag voor minimaal 40 personen.
Alleen een diner (zonder ceremonie) is mogelijk alleen op maandag voor minimaal 40 personen.
Het restaurant afhuren tijdens onze normale openingstijden behoort niet tot de mogelijkheden, omdat we heel veel vaste gasten hebben en we die niet willen teleurstellen.

β β β β β I've been there many times and I still consider it one of the best restaurants in Amsterdam. It is quite casual, the atmosphere resembling a scene of a meal in an Italian piazza in a Fellini film, yet quite expensive and requires a reservation. The staff is friendly, the kitchen is open, the plates are big and the menu of the day can offer amazing surprises. I wish that at some point they bring back the cheese and truffles bruschettas that they used to have years ago!

β β β β β Toscanini, is a very traditional Italian in my opinion. They have a very classic menu, and a classic restaurant setting. Itβs not really something for an easy Friday night, but more something you would bring your family to. The vibe is therefor a bit old-fashioned. I am not a huge fan of their pastaβs. Yet, their sommelier is amazing, and their panna cotta is the best I have ever had, very tasty. If youβre up for something vibrant, donβt go here, but if youβre up for something a bit more reserved Toscanini is your place to go.

β β β β β Absolutely delicious food. They did magic with vegetables with their Burrata and vegetables dish. The ravioli and polenta were also delicious. Has to be one of the top Italian restaurants in Europe for sure. Really good selection of wines too.

β β β β β Toscanini continues to be one of my all time favourite restaurants. Very well cooked, uncomplicated food made with the best ingredients available. Good atmosphere and service and excellent wines. I must have eaten here almost 50 times over the past 10 years and I keep coming back. I love it!

β β β β β To celebrate a birthday, easing of COVID-19 restrictions and the nice weather we visited Toscanini. We enjoyed this restaurant before and this time it was no different. Very good food, wine, helpful and friendly service but the outdoor dinning added to the experience.
Before leaving we shopped in Toscanini deli so we could enjoy the memory all weekend.

β β β β β We arrived around 6pm and this place was already pretty busy with a mix of couples, groups of friends and families. According to the waitress some regular customers are having dinner here every week and will only call the restaurant when they are not able to come. Good story and says a lot about this restaurant and why people love it.
Their menu will change throughout the year and has a limited, but good selection of Italian dishes. In addition they also have several specials which are written on a chalkboard on the wall. We enjoyed the angler fish, gnocchi and the pasta alla Trapanese. They are perfectly fine with sharing some of the dishes and brought some additional small plates. Extensive wine list with plenty of choice to make for a good match with the food.
Special mention for the almond tart with figs and creme fraiche for dessert. Really nice!Will definitely come back next time!

β β β β β Toscanini offers great food but for a place that needs to be booked one month in advance it doesnβt pack that WOW factor. Nonetheless, youβre assured of a delicious night out in a charming restaurant with kind waiters.
