★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its funny, but in some travel articles I read, its written that this buidling is the second most beautiful buidling in the Netherlands. Dont ask me who occupies the 1st place please as thats also my question. ;-)
Anyway, the location is nice. Its surrounden by great cafes and restaurants. You can do some tours as well.

Going through this place you understand what a powerfull city Middelburg has been. It becomes clear why New Zealand bears the name of a small region of a small European country.
When you see the glory of the halls and reminders of size and importance of commerce you understand where the Dutch pride comes from!
If you miss this you will not miss any particular item but you will definitely miss the atmosphere and an opportunity to fantasize about how this place must have been used in historical times.
