University College Roosevelt (Franklin) - Lange Noordstraat 1
University College Roosevelt was founded in 2004 as part of Utrecht University. This name encompasses three core features that make us a unique place within modern education. First, we are a University, a place that offers a Liberal Arts and Sciences program of high quality with nearly 200 courses, which allows students to continue top Master programs all over the world. Second, we are a College, indicating a small and tight-knit community consisting of 500 students and dedicated Faculty and Staff, with a residential inner-city campus and an active student body. Third, we are named after the Roosevelt family. As such, we seek to foster and strengthen the fundamental values concerning global citizenship as formulated by Theodore, Franklin, and Eleanor Roosevelt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was looking on here to see what the pulled chicken sandwich looked, because I wasn't sure about what to choose. I'm glad I did. It didn't disappoint. It was one of the best sandwiches I ever had.

So for the next person. Don't doubt the pulled chicken. It's gonna be great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality of discourse is low to average, with lecturers appearing too informal, lacking qualifications, speaking Boomer English, unrelated monologues, making you fend for yourself. Despite its small scale, involvement and accomodation is disappointing, students cannot expect meaningful support, no student's nurse or skill courses, it's not enough.
Speaking anything but English is not accepted by rule, you must be progressive thus only speak the global language in every facet of your personal life. Such is the ideology here: your small leftist bubble.
Campus housing is mandatory, even if you live nearby; Begijnhof is old, cramped and feels neglected. Significant numbers of barely adolescent wealthy kids being sent off abroad or even Dutch who act like they are part of this foreign club of snobbery and feigned class. And, local community sees no effort put into them to get along well with these guests in their already ever-so touristy town.
Added to this subpar UU experience: being stuck in this somewhat empty and faraway island of a forgotten provincial place, why even go here? The Hogwarts magic quickly becomes not worth all of this. So please be warned, definite advise to pick UU or RUG or anything.
