★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooie kennismaking van een oude zaagmolen. Je krijgt er goede uitleg zoals die oude zagen gebruikt werden. Er zijn verschillen machines die nog werken. Een bezoekje meer dan waard.
Nice introduction to an old sawmill. You get good explanation as the old saws were used. There are different machines that still work. More than worth a visit.

Ondanks de naam is het helaas niet echt een molen meer, de molenopbouw is in 1880 gesloopt om plaats te maken voor de efficientere stoomaandrijving. De banden van deze aandrijving zijn wel nog steeds goed te zien, alhoewel het mechanisme intussen wordt aangedreven door een elektromotor. De originele stoommachine is nog wel draaiend te bewonderen in een aparte ruimte. Ook de oude zaagmachines zijn mooi om te zien, evenals alle houten kunstwerkjes die met het gezaagde gemaakt worden. Zeker een bezoekje waard.
Enthusiastic team, and interesting to see all the old equipment. Despite the name it is unfortunately not really a mill anymore, the mill structure was demolished in 1880 to make way for the more efficient steam drive. The tires of this drive are still clearly visible, although the mechanism is now driven by an electric motor. The original steam engine can still be seen rotating in a separate room. The old sawing machines are also beautiful to see, as are all the wooden pieces of art that are made with the sawn saw. Well worth a visit.
