(Zur Verdeutlichung, ein Mitbewerber sagte mir, dass es sich um ein Standarduhrwerk handelt). Zu meinem Erstaunen erklärte mir eine Dame dann das ginge nicht, sie würde immer nur individuell und bei Bedarf für jede Uhr ein Werk bestellen. Warum sie für meine das nicht konnte hat sie mir nicht erklärt. In Zeiten von Onlinehandel und Lockdown ein starkes Zeichen, um Kunden zu vergraulen. Ich bin dann zu einem anderen Uhrmacher in Kevelaer gegangen, wo ich hervorragend beraten wurde und man ein Werk bestellt hat und einbaut.
I wanted to hand in a watch for repair on Tuesday. A clock face was available and a new clockwork should be attached to it. (To clarify, a competitor told me that this is a standard movement). To my astonishment, a lady then explained to me that it would not work, she would only order a movement individually and if necessary for each watch. She didn't explain to me why she couldn't do that for mine. In times of online trading and lockdown, this is a strong signal to scare away customers. I then went to another watchmaker in Kevelaer, where I received excellent advice and a movement was ordered and installed.
