About UvA Merchandise Store

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is een internationale standaard voor biologische kleding en textiel. GOTS gaat uit van 100% biologische grondstof en kleding en textiel met dit keurmerk moet voor minstens 70% uit biologische vezels bestaan. Door de hele keten – van het oogsten van de grondstoffen, via de maatschappelijk verantwoorde productie tot de etikettering, verpakking en distributie – wordt voldaan aan de strengste standaard voor biologisch textiel. De GOTS certificering vereist daarnaast de naleving van sociale criteria bij de katoenteelt en de verwerking tot stof. Dat gaat om zaken als minimumloon, een verbod op kinderarbeid en een veilige en hygiënische werkomgeving. Gecontroleerd door Control Union Certifications

I ordered a hoodie on Black Friday, and after a week I finally received a message saying that my order is ready for pick up. However, when I come to the shop the assistant couldn’t find my order and said that someone must have taken it and that all hoodies in the size I orders are sold out. I am currently left without a present, and with a very unpleasant memory of the UvA shop.
