We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Upon arrival the man at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, but they forgot to take the dirty desinfectant towel. The wellness area was nice, but there were no towels (we went there at different times of the day) and the gym had no towels and no paper towels to disinfect the machines. We went to the gym twice and both times we experienced this lack of cleanness which in covid times is quite worrysome. Otherwise we had a nice stay and the breakfast was ok. There are however no vegan options like soy milk etc.

Absolutely wonderful with accepting and helping with an assistance dog, although dogs are usually not allowed.

It was not great. It was okay. Not a 4-star hotel experience. Positives: Good facilities - pool, spa, restaurant. The food was excellent. Well prepared, well plated, great taste. Negatives: Staff - Not very friendly at all. Room was not ready when we arrived. We were asked to wait for 15 minutes. When we checked back after half hour, the room was ready but the person at the front desk had gone away so we had to get our keycard from another lady. While we were waiting, we were served drinks by someone who it looked like didn't want to be there. Room - Good sized room with balcony, but a section near the door was broken. (the wood had come off) and the shelf under the main mirror was also broken. Not up to standard. Restaurant - Despite making reservations weeks in advance, we could only get a table near the entrance. Not the greatest spot, but we had to make do. The staff, it seemed, were quite unprofessional. Read talking and joking over guests' heads. Especially the men in the suits. Would have thought a little restraint would be shown, especially in these times. Service felt very impersonal and half-hearted. But at least the food made up for it. All in all, not what I expected from a 4-star hotel with such high ratings.

Great hotel, this is a guaranteed top service - I always book this chain anywhere in the Netherlands and have done for many years with my family.

It wasn't a bad stay, but also not a great stay. Our room was dirty - there was food stuck behind the mattress. The wallpaper in our room was peeling. I ordered a steak rare and it came well done, not even a medium. The food was otherwise good, though, and the service friendly. Overall, however, a disappointing stay.

Friendly staff, comfortable and large room. The hotel is very big and suited rather to business customers (in/out/forget) than someone looking for a cosy atmosphere

Arrived with my wife on Feb 24th for three nights. When we checked in, we barely got any informations about the Hotel (breakfast, restaurant, swimming pool or gym opening hours, etc). No issue though as we are not new customers of the chain. For the second night, we asked for an extra blanket as we had not been cosy enough the first night. The staff simply replied that they couldn't get us a blanket. What a joke in a 4-star hotel. We also asked for a blanket on the Valk app, just in case we asked the wrong staff, but no answer. Even though we set the green light card on the room door handle, the staff didn't enter our room. Thus we spend two days using the same damp towels. On the (only) bright side, the breakfast was delicious and variety was the staple of it! Still, we are quite disappointed overall.
