66 miljoen jaar geleden had een meteorietinslag desastreuze gevolgen. De stofwolk die de inslag veroorzaakte leidde tot het uitsterven van vele diersoorten, waaronder de dinosauriërs. Hoe groot is de kans dat er binnenkort weer zon gigantisch kosmisch projectiel onze kant op komt? En wat kunnen we er tegen doen als we zon krachtpatser signaleren? Over deze vragen buigt sterrenkundeschrijver Govert Schilling zich in Doelwit aarde. Hij brengt in kaart wat ons allemaal boven het hoofd hangt, hoe we deze projectielen op tijd aan kunnen zien komen en of we ze wellicht af kunnen buigen of op kunnen blazen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice store but unprofessional staff which does not seem willing to help! At 1030 all staff members always meet behind one cashier chatting and drinking team together. Never seen this before it almost feeled closed and very wrong that literally not one employee was working for at least 20 min.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the pittoresque centre of leeuwarden is the large Vandervelde bookshop with a big collection of books in dutch but also english. At the back of the shop is a coffee bar where you can discuss, or glance through newest books. I enjoyed the shop bery much and spend hours through their book collection. If you want to take the sight seeing boats through the leeuwarden canals you can buy the tickets at the book shop. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and wonderful bookshop! Actually, I didn't know before, but they have English second-hand book collection upstairs!!! ? a lot of nice fantasy and sci-fi for reasonable prices (~4€/book), for instance!
