OUR JOURNEY
Vapiano begon in 2002 in Hamburg, Duitsland. In Nederland opende het eerste restaurant in 2007, in Den Haag, met echt iets anders. Een jaar lang kwamen gasten uit heel Nederland naar Den Haag om kennis te maken met het bijzondere concept. Het eerste restaurant in Nederland waar besteld werd met een pasje, het eten direct voor je klaar gemaakt werd en je achteraf afrekent. Handgemaakte verse pasta wordt voor je neus gekookt, precies zoals jij het lekker vindt. Extra peper? Zeker wel. Geen knoflook? Geen probleem. Hou je niet van champignons? We laten ze weg.
Personalisatie was de sleutel en vandaag de dag is dat relevanter dan ooit.
Inmiddels zijn er 10 restaurants in Nederland. Het laatste restaurant is de zomer van 2021 geopend in Westfield Mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam. Daarnaast is het pasjes systeem ingewisseld voor bestelling vanaf je tafel waar het eten lekker naar je toe wordt gebracht.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience ever. Top floor was filled with smoke but they still had people seated there. It's a very fast-foodlike interior and feel when ordering but we still waited an hour for our food, the waiters could not give us a better estimate when our food would be ready. The carbonara was bland beyond belief, very dry, even for this cheap price this was terrible. Don't eat here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent fast casual chain but frustrating ordering/payment app. The food is decent quality and generally they are quick to deliver, so perfect to grab a bite before a movie. It was quite busy last night (Tuesday) and the tables weren't getting cleaned so it was difficult to find a spot. Also, both me and my friend couldn't get the ordering app to work. We could log in but navigation was difficult and they neither of us could get the payment options to work. So after 10+ minutes messing with the app, we then had to go stand in line and place our order at the front. There was a line because we weren't the only ones struggling. Also, the whole system seemed to be new b/c even the staff was struggling to enter the order in the system. After all that, I did enjoy my meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was brought to us pretty quickly even during a busy evening and also provided for a takeaway box for leftovers. The waiter also took several pictures of my group when asked. We were told the bread we ordered was still in the oven but we never got the bread in the end.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is still the same good. And we were happy not to stand in line to order. Now you go straight to the table and order via qr code. Some food was quite quick ready but the rest we had to wait longer then 35 minutes:(.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m a grown woman whose been driven to tears by this establishment… I waited patiently for 30 minutes to get my pizza after my friend’s pasta arrived and I had just put my utensils down when the waiter came and asked us to leave as they needed the space to sit other customers. My friend was halfway through her coffee and I was just eyeing the dessert menu when this happened… shocked, and devastated we asked if we could be seated upstairs but the waiter told us that was not possible as they were renovating it. We went upstairs to the bathroom before leaving only to fine out no renovation was underway and we had just been ushered out before our meal was even done.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very worst experience ever. I can start with the payment system broken and waited over than 20 mins to take the order from the cashier. I had risotto Gorgonzola with unexpected burned chicken and my partner had ravioli (was edible besides a strange cream). Bread that came on the side was pretty good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I usually gave nice reviews but I hate it when there is something in your menu and you don't have it. I ordered hawaiin pizza but then the stuff told me that unfortunately they do not have pinapple so I told him I would rather cancelled the pizza since we also ordered pasta, but unfortunately it is not possible to cancell the order so I end up eating hawaiin pizza without pinapple. Pasta is okay but pizza ???
