★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Op zondag is alles gesloten behalve de vele restaurants waar je wat kan eten/drinken. Veel ijswinkels en er zitten niet veel winkels die je normaal tegen zou komen in een grote plaats. Alles is opgezet voor het toerisme.
Stadje zelf is erg middeleeuws, veel mooie historische gebouwen, nostalgische steegjes en erg sfeervol.
Bezoek vooral de kloostertuin eens of breng een bezoekje langs de stadsmuur of de joodse begraafplaats. Park om de vesting heen is ook de moeite waard.
 Everything is closed on Sundays except the many restaurants where you can eat / drink something. Lots of ice cream shops and not many shops that you would normally find in a big town. Everything is set up for tourism.
Town itself is very medieval, many beautiful historic buildings, nostalgic alleys and very atmospheric.
Be sure to visit the monastery garden or visit the city wall or the Jewish cemetery. Park around the fortress is also worthwhile.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ga je naar Elburg met de boot? Vergeet dan niet de Vischpoort te bezoeken! Deze poort brengt je naar het oude Elburg. Met al zijn historische gebouwen, straatjes en pittoreske winkeltjes! Als het even kan beklim dan de kerk. Wat een geweldig uitzicht.
Are you going to Elburg by boat? Then don't forget to visit the Vischpoort! This gate takes you to the old Elburg. With all its historic buildings, streets and picturesque shops! If possible, climb the church. What an amazing view.
