★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Van het oeroude bos dat hier ooit stond, is nog een klein stukje over. Een grote brand in 1900 maakte van de rest ‘nieuw’ bos of boerenland. Nu is het Vrouwenbos is een hellingbos omgeven door akkers en weiden.
Hier wandel je in alle rust onder het bladerdek en door holle wegen, onder het genot van vogelgeluiden. Ten oosten van het bos ligt het idyllische gehuchtje Hobbelrade, waar je onder andere een mooie vakwerkboerderij bewondert.

 Only a small part of the ancient forest that once stood here is left. A major fire in 1900 turned the remainder into "new" forest or farmland. Today the Vrouwenbos is a sloping forest surrounded by fields and meadows.
Here you walk in peace under the foliage and through hollow roads, while enjoying the sounds of birds. To the east of the forest lies the idyllic hamlet of Hobbelrade, where you can admire, among other things, a beautiful half-timbered farm.
