Vuurtoreneiland - Vuurtoreneiland
vuurtoreneiland – - Vuurtoreneiland.nl

β β β β β Nice overall experience. I liked the wine pairing. I cannot say that the food was outstanding, rather regular.

β β β β β Such a nice experience! The crew on the boat to the island and during the dinner were great with a good knowledge about the wines. The food was spectacular with refreshing and interesting dishes because they have less options in the kitchen because they dont have gas and a lot of electricity. Really recommend this for a romantic dinner or a family dinner

β β β β β Loved the full experience through the evening. You get picked up on a cute wooden boat that will get you to the island. The apΓ©ritif will start straight onto the boat before you arrive onto the island.
Make sure to keep your booking with you and show up on time.
I went there in winter and the restaurant experience happened into the bunker - unusual but exciting.
The food was excellent and the waiters were always generous in explanations about the dish and wines.
I highly recommend!
Only point is I'd rather go there again in summer when the greenhouse is opened. I sure it makes for awesome evening!

β β β β β Itβs an island. Every childβs fantasy and adults wish list. You get they by ferry and appointment. When you arrive you will be surprised to see goats running around and militaristic Second World War bunks for toilet. You are split between going on tour or going for the meal that brought you here. Good news you can do both and more.
The have two dinning spaces one for winter cosy, warm and made from the abondanded bunks while the glass open air summer space is all out and about showing it all.
The food is great, kind of mishmash Continental Europe, Mediterranean and a touch of dutch land.
The owners are sweet lovely couple who both work there as chief and one host. The rest of the stuff works at the same pace and friendly manner.
I loved it. Would do winter too this coming winter. Itβs a must eat place when in Amsterdam. I loved it.

β β β β β Nice trip with enthousiastic staff. Service is good and friendly. Food is locally sourced and prepared on site with different (old) ways of preparing, expirimental and therefore requires sometimes an acquired taste. The quality is good but quantity could be better. The dining location is in old bu ker/fortress which adds to the ambiance and although minimalistic decorated its tasteful and creates warm ambiance. The wood fires in the old tile stoves helps as well. All in all a nice experience although a bit expensive, ut then again, the maintenance and preservation needs to be covered somehow...

β β β β β 5 stars for the experience, the boat ride, the beautiful island and greenhouse, the wild sheep and geese that kept us company, and the great staff. Really enjoyed the non-alcoholic pairing with the meal, it was definitely a highlight. We came during summer with perfect weather and a stunning sunset.

β β β β β I should write here how conventional and unspectacular this experience is to increase my chances on another table reservationβ¦ but then again - Iβm just bad at lying.
